日本首相理解中国不接受国际援助人员 || China wouldn’t let international rescue team in, Japan’s prime minister understands

福田康夫首相は１４日、中国・四川大地震の人的支援を用意していた日本政府に対
し中国側が「受け入れ困難」と回答したことについて、「神戸の（阪神大震災の）時も日
本の受け入れ態勢ができなければ、来ていただいても混乱するだけだった。いま中国も同
じような状況だ」と述べ、中国側の対応に理解を示した。
今後の支援については、「受け入れ態勢ができれば、『ぜひお願いします』と言ってく
るのではないか。日本ができる役割があれば、できるだけのことはする」と強調した。首
相官邸で記者団に語った。

日本首相福田康夫在14日首相官邸，就中国“很难接受”日本政府向四川地震提供的援助人
员一事，回答记者问。福田说：“在日本神户发生阪神大地震的时候，日本当时也没有能够
接受外国援助人员，因为即使他们来了，也只能是很混乱的状态。现在中国处在同样的状况
，我们可以理解。

今后的支援活动，如果可以接受救援，一定要向日本开口。日本能做到的，一定会帮忙。

Japan’s prime minister Yasuo Fukuda said he understands when China wouldn’t let international rescue team into the disaster regions.

He made the above comments on 14th in the parliament when he was ask by journalists about Japan will provide rescue relief force to the disaster areas. Fukuda said when Kobe was hit by earthquake, Japan didn’t let international rescue team in to help, because even though they could come and help, it won’t have any significant impact due to the chaotic nature in such situation. China now is in the same position as we were years ago, we can understand.

But, if China needs any help at all, please just ask, as long as it be done by Japanese rescue team, we will help.
